Ok, so either you have been there or you are there – fearing that someone will see you working out, shaking your jiggly, or busting your butt! Or maybe you have a lack of coordination, like me! Put your arm here, and your arm goes there! I totally know this feeling. I used to only workout if no one was home when I was in college, then after I met my husband and we moved in together. I was pretty stuck! I either had to suck it up and just deal with the embarassment or try to work around my then boyfriends schedule. Neither sounded good to me, but I had to make a choice eventually. I sat on my butt for a week then I finally mustered up the courage to work out or at least put my work out clothes on and still sat on butt in fear that someone might laugh at me or stare at me. Not sure where this fear comes from, but I didn’t have time to sit on a shrinks couch for a year to figure it out! It was either do or die! The next day I dressed for my workout again and kindly asked my husband (boyfriend at the time) to not come into our bedroom while I worked out. I thought at least this would cover me for the first workout and maybe that would tell him not to look at my fat jiggle and two left feet while I was trying to workout. I made it through the work out and another, and another, and another! I finally got past my fear of my husband seeing me work out because I realized how good I was feeling after each work out. Even though I still prefer to not be interupted while working out (not for embarrassing moments but more so I can focus on my form and drive), my husband still walks in on almost all of my workouts at some point. I just kind of laugh now, but I think back at those times when I was mortified for someone to see me jiggling all over the place or someone finding out I really can’t coordinate arms and legs! LOL.
